Saona Attitude is designed for travelers who prefer authenticity over mass tourism. Unlike big party boats leaving Punta Cana with hundreds of passengers, we focus on comfort, authenticity and small groups. The idea is simple: give each guest the time, space and attention needed to fully enjoy Saona.
Departing from the charming port of Bayahibe, you board a comfortable motor boat with generous seating, shade and onboard facilities. From the very first minutes, the tone is set: smooth logistics, a friendly atmosphere and a day paced for pleasure rather than rushing.
Many tours start in Punta Cana, which means a long road transfer before reaching Bayahibe. Leaving directly from Bayahibe shortens travel time and ensures faster, more pleasant navigation. You arrive early on the island and discover its highlights before the crowds — one of Saona Attitude’s key advantages.
Saona belongs to the protected Cotubanamá National Park, home to mangroves, coastal forests and rich marine life. As the boat glides over turquoise Caribbean waters, the crew shares insights about nature and culture. The crossing is part of the experience — a moment to unwind and soak up the Caribbean spirit.
The first stop is Mano Juan, a colorful fishing village that has kept its traditional character. Painted wooden houses, a slow island rhythm and welcoming residents offer a genuine window into Dominican life.
You’ll also visit the community-run sea-turtle nursery, a meaningful conservation project that helps protect endangered species. Guides explain how eggs are safeguarded and hatchlings released — an inspiring ecological moment for many travelers.
After Mano Juan, the route continues to Canto de la Playa, often considered Saona’s most beautiful beach. Far from busy spots, the setting is pure postcard: powder-white sand, turquoise water and graceful palms. It’s the perfect place to swim, relax in the shade and take unforgettable photos.
The small-group format keeps the atmosphere calm and relaxed. In the shallow areas, easy snorkeling often reveals colorful fish and coral gardens.
A highlight of the day is the Dominican-style lunch, served right on the sand — typically fresh fish or chicken, rice, salads and tropical fruit. Drinks are available throughout the day.
In season and by optional upgrade, you can add grilled lobster for a gourmet touch (available July 1 – February 29, in line with local regulations).
On the way back, the boat stops at the famous natural pool, a shallow sandbank with crystal-clear water where you can often spot large starfish. As always, we look but don’t touch to protect marine life.
Choosing Saona Attitude means a premium small-group experience. With fewer guests on board, comfort is higher, service is more personal and the pace is relaxed. The crew and guide have time to share insights, answer questions and keep the day smooth.
In a single day you’ll experience many facets of the Dominican Republic: an authentic village, a conservation project, a wild beach, a seaside lunch and a dreamy swim — all without the feeling of being rushed from one stop to another.
More than a boat trip, Saona Attitude is a full immersion into Dominican nature and culture. Thoughtful organization, a friendly ambiance and carefully chosen stops make it one of the most memorable days of any Caribbean stay — whether you travel as a couple, with friends or as a family.
