The boat departure from Bayahibe is usually around 9:45 AM. Depending on the provider’s organization, the outbound or return trip will be done by sailing catamaran with music, dancing and open bar.
You arrive at a large beach on Saona Island where a Dominican buffet lunch is served directly on the beach.
After lunch, free time to swim, relax in hammocks or loungers, and enjoy the Caribbean scenery.
The famous Natural Pool stop takes place during the speedboat ride. You can enjoy a drink in the shallow turquoise water while admiring giant starfish.
The return to Bayahibe port is usually around 4:30 PM before heading back to the hotels.
This excursion is ideal for travelers who want to discover Saona Island on a lower budget while enjoying a festive and lively atmosphere.
Unlike the excursions directly organized by Dominican Attitude in small groups, this tour is operated by a partner provider and gathers a large number of participants.
Depending on the organization of the day, the outbound trip may be by catamaran and the return by speedboat, or the opposite. The stop at the Natural Pool is always made during the speedboat ride.
The catamaran can accommodate up to approximately 120 people, and the beach area on Saona Island may host several hundred participants at the same time. This excursion is therefore recommended for travelers who enjoy lively atmospheres and do not mind crowds.
The provider organizes shared transportation from Bayahibe, Dominicus, Punta Cana, Bávaro, Uvero Alto, Casa de Campo, Juan Dolio, Boca Chica and Santo Domingo.
Transfers are generally operated with large buses making multiple hotel stops. Whenever possible, we try to place our guests on more comfortable transportation organized by us, but this always depends on availability and daily logistics.
This excursion is less expensive because it is operated in large volumes by a partner provider. It is actually the same excursion commonly sold in hotels at much higher prices due to heavy commissions.
At Dominican Attitude, we prefer to present it transparently as a budget-friendly option while clearly explaining that it does not match our usual small-group premium format.
This tour is ideal for travelers who want to visit Saona Island at a lower cost and who enjoy party atmospheres, music, entertainment and lively beaches with many participants.
It is not recommended for travelers looking for a quiet, premium, intimate or crowd-free experience. For that type of excursion, we recommend our small-group tours instead.
The Budget Saona Island Tour is an affordable way to discover Saona Island with a catamaran cruise, a speedboat ride, a stop at the Natural Pool and a fun atmosphere throughout the day. It is a great option if your priority is budget and entertainment rather than exclusivity or comfort.
