THE DOMINICAN OUTBACK IN BUGGY OR FOURWHEELS:

Ready for thrills, adrenaline, and a good dose of laughter? Then this half-day tour is perfect for you!
You definitely shouldn't be afraid of getting dirty and covered in mud. Don't forget to take the "before" and "after" photos!

ITINERARY:

The ranch is located in the small village called Benerito, about 15 minutes away from Bayahibe. A small liability waiver to fill out and off you go for the adventure!

You will first pass through a little village, then head towards the sugarcane fields.

There will be a quick stop in a sugarcane field if it's in season, where you can taste it and take some photos.

Afterwards, you'll hop back into the buggies and make your way to Chavon River. You'll have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim in the river or use it as a pre-wash...

On the way back, there is a planned visit to a typical small ranch where tropical fruits will be offered. You can also take this opportunity to purchase coffee or cocoa.

Finally, you'll return to the buggy ranch and make your way back to your hotel.

PICKUP:

Our provider organizes this excursion every day except Saturday.

They offer 3 departures per day, one early in the morning, another in mid-morning, and finally one in early afternoon.

Transportation from Bayahibe or Dominicus hotels is included and will be provided by the staff using a minivan.

IMPORTANT:

Please note that this excursion is not organized by us but by a provider.
The buggies are made in the Dominican Republic. They are not factory-designed machines but rather a local assembly using various parts from cars and motorcycles. So, don't expect fancy machines!
Although they undergo regular maintenance, breakdowns do occur from time to time because the machines are subjected to a lot of wear and tear in the dust and mud.

- When to book? We are a small agency that organizes excursions in small groups. To accommodate your request, it is best to book as early as possible.
However, if there are still spots available, we can also accept last-minute bookings.

Mon enfant de 3 ans peut faire la sortie buggy?

Oui il y a des buggy familiaux de 4 places disponibles, il sera donc à côté d’un parent, à l’arrière. Par contre, s’il n’aime pas se salir ou s’il a moins de 3 ans, nous vous déconseillons cette excursion.

Combien de temps dure l’excursion?

Environ 3h30 en comptant les trajets depuis votre hôtel.

Nous donnera-t-on des explications sur la canne à sucre, la population et les coutumes?

Quel type de buggy aurons nous?

Les buggy sont fabriqués en République Dominicaine. Il ne s’agit pas de machines fabriquées en usine mais de la fabrication locale avec diverses pièces de voitures et motos.

Ne vous attendez donc pas à de belles machines, mais elles font l’objet d’une maintenance régulière. Cependant les pannes arrivent de temps à autre car les machines sont tout de même très malmenées dans la poussière et la boue.

Puis-je participer si je suis logé à Punta Cana?

Non, malheureusement cette excursion est disponible uniquement depuis Bayahibe et Dominicus.
Nous avons tenté de travailler avec plusieurs prestataires sur place mais aucun ne nous a convaincu.
